鄰近港口，是從前大浦聚落的商業中心，早年曾設有鴉片館、雜貨店和理髮店，國軍進駐後，照相館、撞球間、特約茶室又讓此地更顯活絡。由於傳統石頭屋內部狹窄，有時撞球桿得截短才有辦法在屋內使用。

Near the quay, used to be the hub of commerce of Dapu with opium divan, grocery store,
barber shops in earlier times; following the garrisons of the Republic of China
Armed Forces, it became even busier as photographic studios, pool halls, and
contract teahouses opened up and sometimes billiard cues need to be shortened
due to the narrow spaces in traditional stone houses.

平日，聚落孩子們在廣場空地玩耍；年節慶典期間，遊藝隊也會來此表演，好不熱鬧。日後因為人口外移、駐軍裁撤，周遭商店逐一關門，廣場又復歸一片寧靜。

The children play around in the open grounds in ordinary days; a parade of Recreation Ensemble performs around here during the Spring Festival and celebrations. The street went noiseless later on as dwellers emigrated, garrisons disbanded, and neighborhood stores closed down.
